Any subdivision will require subdivision consent from the local authority. This is a type of resource consent, which is additional to any land use consent that may be required for building.
Applications for consent will be prepared that address all of the relevant issues relating to the subdivision. In this area we work closely with Blakey Scott Planning Limited who have proven expertise in the planning and resource management process.
The subdivision consent once obtained will contain conditions that must be fulfilled prior to the completion of the subdivision. It is important to be aware of the significance of all of these conditions at the outset. If any are considered to be too arduous, or to not relate to the activity being proposed, then a challenge to it should be considered.
